Oversee a multi-million dollar budget and all financial transactions ensuring fiscal responsibility for all School of Business departments. Ensure purchasing policy and protocols are followed as outlined by state law and university guidelines. Train and provide support to all departmental administrative assistants and department chairs in the management of departmental budgets, payroll, hiring of faculty, management of faculty workload, etc. Supervise the administration of laws such as the Affordable Health Care Act, ensuring all departments are abiding by appropriate university policy regarding such. Supervise all grant activities within the Woodbury School of Business confirming that grant guidelines are followed and funds are dispensed as outlined in awarded grants. Work with foundation personnel in the control and designation of all donated monies and endowments within the School of Business. Work with the Assistant Dean ensuring all courses scheduled fit within a fiscally responsible plan for course delivery. Award all School of Business scholarships warranting all institutional and federal guidelines are followed and all funds are dispensed in a timely fashion. Coordinate the hiring of new faculty and staff members, rehire of existing faculty on one-year appointments, and administration of department chair and director appointments. Plan, coordinate and oversee events associated with the dean’s office, including conferences, commencement, banquets, and award ceremonies.
