Dr. Bacon holds a Ph.D. in nursing from the University of Utah and has over 30 years experience in a wide variety of health care settings.  Her dissertation topic was on adolescent suicide prevention and she has published and presented her research nationally and internationally.  Her areas of interest include nursing education, health policy and ethics and health promotion.  She teaches nursing leadership and theory and volunteers on the national level as an elected Commissioner for the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC).
