Linda serves as the Executive Director of Planning & Budget at Utah Valley University. Planning & Budget organizationally resides in the Executive Division under the direction of the President and includes university-wide planning and budgeting, Institutional Effectiveness, Institutional Research and Information, Institutional Compliance, and Policy. Linda manages UVU’s Planning, Budgeting, and Accountability process and serves as the university’s chief budget/planning officer and as the university’s policy administrator. As Executive Director, she serves as a member of the President’s office staff, UVU’s President’s Executive Council, President’s Council, and Leadership Council. She also participates in UVU Board of Trustees meetings and many Board of Regents meetings. Internally, Linda serves as a member of the Benefits Finance Committee, Benefits Committee, Faculty Workload Task Force, Enterprise Applications Committee, Scholarship Executive Committee, Space Allocation and Change Committee, and Compliance Advisory Committee. Linda chairs the Planning, Budgeting and Accountability (PBA) Coordinating Committee, chairs the Policy Advisory Committee, Co-chairs Summer University 2009 Committee, provides staff leadership for the Strategic Directions Advisory Committee, serves as a liaison with the NCAA Certification Committee, and serves as a mentor for the Utah Valley Senior Executive Leadership Forum (UVSELF).
Linda is a presenter in many on-campus training programs including UVSELF, HR Academy and Department Chair training as well as guest lecturer in BYU MPA courses and UVU Accounting courses. Linda has presented at regional, national and international conferences, most recently presenting with Dr. Cameron Martin at the 2009 WACUBO conference. Externally, Linda is a member of the USHE Budget Officer’s System Subcommittee, 2009 Western Association of College and University Business Officers host committee, NACUBO and SCUP. She also serves as a precinct vice-chair for the Republican Party. Linda earned a master’s degree in public administration from Brigham Young University and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Utah Valley University in 2002, and has over 28 years of higher education experience. Linda has received several awards including CFO of the Year 2009 by Utah Business Magazine, 2007 UVU Board of Trustees Excellence Award, Fall 1997 PACE Distinguished Employee Award, and 1998 CCBO Regional Outstanding Business Officer.
