Department of Business Management, Entrepreneurship Program. Morris Professor of Entrepreneurship. Teach courses in entrepreneurship at lower and upper divisions including introduction and business development. Conduct scholarly research and developed outreach programs.
1990 - 2003 The University of Calgary Calgary, Albert
The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Area. Chair and Tenured Associate Professor. Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in venture development including introduction to entrepreneurship, business planning, and consulting. Conduct scholarly research on entrepreneurial characteristics and entrepreneurship education. Develop and direct programs in the Venture Development Area, including an undergraduate concentration and a minor for engineering students

Taught courses and presented workshops and symposia on the process of creating new enterprises to undergraduate students and a faculty seminar on entrepreneurship theory and education. The Center for Entrepreneurship. Director of Research and Assistant Professor. Director of Research for the Center. Conducted evaluation research on programs sponsored by the center as well as personal research on characteristics of entrepreneurs. Taught classes on Small Business Management, Entrepreneurship, and Business Planning. Worked closely with the Association of Collegiate Entrepreneurs (ACE) national organization in program development and implementation as well as research on entrepreneurship education

The Entrepreneurial Studies Program - Research Associate. Worked in the design and implementation of research programs designed to enhance the understanding of entrepreneurship at the level of the individual. This research program resulted directly in three journal publications and over seven presentations and papers in proceedings, related to the personal characteristics of entrepreneurs across a variety of situations.
