Jeff Johnson is the Assistant Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning, reponsible for managing the UVU strategic planning process and supporting units at UVU with operational planning and assessment. He also serves at UVU resident "education futurist," keeping the campus leaders aware of trends in higher education. Jeff joined UVU as an adjunct instructor in 2009, and previously served as an institutional research analyst where he received the Executive Division Award of Excellence in 2013. He holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Wisconsin in 2003, and served on the faculty of Cameron University in Lawton Oklahoma from 2004 through 2008.
Jeff continues to maintain research interests in higher education policy, technology policy, and political theory, and teaches in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at UVU.
