Dr. Brett M. Breton is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Utah Valley University. He is originally from Marysville, California, but lived in Mexico City for an extended period of time. Dr. Breton completed his Doctoral work in Psychology from Brigham Young University (2007). He also obtained a dual Master’s Degree in Counseling and School Psychology (1999). Dr. Breton worked in leadership positions, including Director of the Multicultural Student Services department at UVU from 2000 to 2015. Dr. Breton’s research includes Psycho-social and Cross-Cultural aspects of human relationships; cross-cultural counseling; Critical analysis of assumptions and implications embedded in various psychological theories and definitions; Attitude; Emotion; Ethics; and Perception.
