The Utah Valley Atheists club's purpose is to help UVU students make friends who share common beliefs and interests for those who may feel left out in a religious community as well as help the community feel healthy and show that people can live purposeful and meaningful lives.
We are a diverse community of followers of Jesus on campus at UVU, declaring in word and lifestyle our faith in Jesus Christ, equipped to fulfill our purpose in God's global plan. We are college-age men and women who are at once wrestling to become who we are (through school or work or life experience), and connecting with God. You'll probably find people who are in all kinds of stages of both pursuits: self-discovery and God-discovery.Ultimately we want thorough communities of prayer, worship, fellowship (fun), discipleship and mission to transform the university, the marketplace and the world.
The Purpose of InterVarsity at UVU is to establish and advance at colleges and universities witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God,God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture and God's purposes in the world.
