LET YOUR EXPERIENCE HELP OTHERS!
Are you a successful UVU student who wants to help your fellow students succeed?
Or, do you need to find a way to fulfill service requirements for your program or major?
Combine service and academics as a Freshman Advocate!
Freshman Advocates (FAs) are assigned two or more freshmen with whom they develop a supporting relationship, assisting the freshman to succeed at the University level. As an FA you will be a conduit to programs on campus where the students can find expert help in overcoming obstacles to their academic success.
The Freshman Advocate program is a meaningful opportunity to positively impact someone else's future. And, it is a great way to complete service hour requirements and have something positive to add to your resume. Freshman Advocates receive valuable training in mentoring, a skill you can use for the rest of your life!
REQUIREMENTS TO BE AN FA:
If you are interested in becoming a Freshman Advocate, please complete the application. There is a limited number of FAs accepted each semester, so please submit your application as soon as possible.
