The UV Mentor Program, part of the Department of Student Leadership and Success Studies and University College at Utah Valley University, is pleased to host its 3rd Annual Student Leadership and Mentoring, February 28th, 2015.

Overview

The purpose of The Student Leadership and Mentoring Conference is to give students and professionals the opportunity to network and share their leadership and/or mentoring experiences with each other. This student run conference gives students and professionals the opportunity to network and share their knowledge with each other as it relates to leadership and mentoring.   

- Proposal submission deadline: TBA. Student or professionals who are interested in presenting at this conference should submit a 300-word proposal.

The proposal should include:

  • Title of Presentation
  • Full name
  • Current Position (i.e., student, staff, administrator, etc.)
  • Institution Affiliated (where you attend/work)
  • Contact Information
  • 3 Keywords that best describe the subject of your submission

Possible presentation topics could include but not limited to:

  • Leadership Training
  • Time Management
  • Personal Development
  • Research
  • Assessment
  • Peer Mentoring
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Goal Setting
  • Team Building
  • Social Justice
  • Service
  • Communication
  • Student Leadership Development

Registration: TBA

The registration fee covers access to all sessions of the conference, conference materials, meals (if desired),and refreshments during breaks. If traveling from outside of Utah or for those who wish to spend the night, special arrangements have been made with a local hotel for a limited number of rooms at a reduced rate.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made up to 5 days before the event will receive a 75% refund of the registration fees. Cancellations made less than 5 days before the event are not eligible for a refund.
