The UVU Dance Team has competed Nationally for the past 12 years in both the USA and NDA National Collegiate Championships. They have consecutively placed in the top 5 in the last 5 years, and have also won the innovative choreography award. The UVU Dance Team is a team whos main purpose and goal is to provide spirit and entertainment at all home Athletic events. In addition the UVU Dance Team performs at several other campus and community events. They also producue their annual UVU Dance Team in Concert which gives the students an opportunity to choreograph and perform student and guest choreographed pieces. The UVU Dance Team is the official host for the UHSAA State Drill Team competiition. The UVU Dance Team was the official dance team for the 2002 Winter Olympics at the Peaks Arena in Provo, Utah. There is a 2.5 required cumulutive minimum GPA for all existing UVU students or any student who has taken class and has a GPA at UVU. You must commit to be a full time (12 credit hours) student for both Fall and Spring semester for the year you are on the team. You must also commit to the squad for the entire season (June-April.)
