Federal Grant Resources

Government grants total more than $300 billion each year for state, local, and tribal governments, universities, and non-profit organizations. These grants are awarded through 26 major "grant-making" agencies in more than 500 programs. Grant administration varies from agency to agency, program to program, and information about grants - and how to apply for them - is scattered in printed materials and across the Internet.

Preparing the appropriate documentation for respective agencies and funding sources will vary from department to department, and based on the program you are pursuing. You will be required to provide specific information to enable the funding agency to consider your request fairly and completely.  Please contact the Office of Sponsored Programs for assistance with all proposal-related documentation.
