Swine Flu Precaution

Swine Flu Vaccination Information

A vaccination for the H1N1 influenza is currently being tested, yet its release date is unknown. Once released, it will only be available to those at high risk of contracting the H1N1 influenza (for more information, visit www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/vaccination/acip.htm). The Utah Health Department has a list of organizations that will receive the vaccination when it does become available. UVU has secured a position on this list, again, for those who are at high risk. Supply will be limited.

Seasonal flu vaccinations are currently available at the Student Health Center (SSC 221) Monday through Friday 9a-4p. Cost is $15 for students and $25 for faculty and staff. Full-time faculty and staff can receive flu shots free of charge by setting up a vaccination appointment through their health care provider (contact Human Resources for more information).
