The Student Engaged Learning Zone is
located directly across from the UVU Bookstore and hosts daily learning
and fun activities free to all UVU Students. Students can drop by the
Zone each day and learn from instructors new hobbies and skills. All
activities are free, instructional and often function in conjunction
with an Action Learning Community. This is a great place to meet other
students with similar interests and join their Action Learning Community.
Action Learning Communities use the Zone as a common meeting and
learning area and regularly visit and engage in other learning
activities off campus. This Week in The ZONE! Monday: 5 Minute Service Projects "In 5, you can do a lot of good for someone" 11-1 am Monday: Cardmaking "Make and Take" NOON Tuesday: Hallway Gourmet: Learn to eat healthy, cheap and fast from our professional chef NOON Tuesday: Health & Fitness: Learn tips, tricks and treats to a healthier you 9:30-11:30 am Wednesday: "Smarter Than a Fifth Grader" So far the 5th graders have won 60% of the matches. NOON Wednesday: Health & Fitness: Learn tips, tricks and treats to a healthier you 9:30-11:30 am Thursday: Cake Decorating; Learn how to make that beauty in sugar tapestry from our professional cake decorator. NOON Thursday: Professional Budgeting and Financial Advice; Industry professionals teach you the way to live more fully on less and how to be smart with your money. NOON Friday: Healthy Options; learn and taste the healthy options to a better you. 11-NOON Friday: Water Coloring: Relax and learn to water color. 10am-1pm Friday: Relaxation Zone; food massage, back rub and relaxing music. 9:30-12:30 IT'S ALWAYS FREE AND IT'S ALWAYS ENGAGED LEARNING! |
