Accuplacer
New Student Assessment Test

The Accuplacer is required for all first-time students who do not have current ACT/SAT scores or who have not met the ACT/SAT requirement. The Accuplacer exam consists of three sections; Reading Comprehension, Sentence Skills, and Math.

UVU Students ONLY: The Accuplacer is given on a walk-in basis Monday-Friday during office hours, with the last test given out 2 hours prior to closing. Our office hours are MWTH 8-6, Tuesdays 8-8 and Friday 8-5. The test is free for newly admitted students testing for the first time. Retakes cost $10 cash per section. Non-expired photo ID is required for testing.

Non-UVU Students: The Accuplacer is offered by APPOINTMENT only. Please contact our Proctor Exam Center at (801)863-8544 to set up an appointment. Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. The Accuplacer costs $50.00 cash for non-UVU students.

Out of State Students: Testers may take the Accuplacer Exam at other schools. If there is no testing location in your area then contact Amanda Florence at (801) 863-6421 to set up a proctored test.
