UVU Theatre brings back their smash hit NOSFERATU for one night only! If you missed it last October, this is your chance to see the show selected to represent the state of Utah at the Kennedy Center, American College Theatre Festival.
This production literally recreates the classic silent film on stage every night using multiple sets, camera angles, and footage from the original film, now in the public domain. Director Chris Clark said, “It's tricky working without a traditional script. Basically, our script consists of storyboards from the film. We follow them very closely so we can recreate the original shots and blocking.”
Clips from the film will seamlessly integrate with the action on the stage created by live actors. The multiple locations will be created through different camera angles on an adaptive set. All of these elements combine to create a truly unique theatrical experience. The director and production team documented their process at our blog.
