Dave Tinney
Artist-In-Residence

Dave Tinney has spent the last twenty years as a Performer / Director / Choreographer / Writer and Teacher.

He has traveled the world with the Murray Lewis/Alwin Nikolais Dance Theatre, The BYU Young Ambassadors, and BYU Dancer's Company.

He has performed and/or created works for Sundance Theatre, Tuacahn Center for the Performing Arts, Capitol Theatre, Kingsbury Hall, and Pioneer Theatre Company.

His work has also been showcased at the National Alliance of Musical Theatre Festival, ASCAP Musical Theatre workshops with Stephen Shwartz, and Governor Leavitt's Olympic Program "Light the Fire Within'.

For three years he served as Artistic Director for the Provo Theatre Company. For six years he taught Vocal Performance, Musical Scene Study, and Choreography in the Musical Theatre Dept. at Brigham Young University. He currently teaches in the Theatrical Arts Department at Utah Valley University.
