Noorda Center Summer Camp

Welcome to the third annual Noorda Theatre Summer Camp! Over 200 students participated in our classes last June. For 2012, we are offering many of last year's most popular classes as well as some exciting new courses. We've listened carefully to last year's students and parents and have scheduled all of our courses in convenient three-hour blocks. We have also expanded our afternoon offerings so young people can take courses from 9am to 4pm with a supervised lunch period in between. We have created even more opportunities for young people to work with our outstanding faculty, staff, and students here at Utah Valley University.

Many of this year’s courses will conclude with a chance for students to share their work with family, friends, and other classes in a formal performance. Those courses that include “workshop” in the title will not have a formal performance, but parents are welcome to peek in on those classes during the last hour on Fridays. Parents are also invited to take our new adult classes that are taught at the same time as our morning classes for children and youth Open the attached pdf on this page for a chart that shows the dates, times, and ages of all of this year’s class offerings.

Parents who are seeking financial assistance for their children to participate must call Community and Continuing Education at 801-863-8012 and apply by May 13. This would include parents seeking a tuition reduction for multiple children.

We thank Tye Noorda for her generosity and vision in making these quality learning experiences available at such an affordable price. We strive to realize her dream of helping young people speak with confidence and act with courage.
