Chair's Corner

Message from the Chair

Welcome to the Technology Management (TM) Department! It has been a busy time, and big changes have happened over the past year. Starting in fall 2014, TM students have the option of completing a Microsoft Dynamics Certificate. This gives students the skillset to use enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) software applications. Our department was approved as a PMI Registered Education Provider starting April 1, 2015. This allows us to help project managers achieve and maintain their professional credentials by completing some of our courses. Faculty Members continue to volunteer their time to activities that motivate and encourage students to enter technology-based fields. SheTech Explorer exposed high-school young women to a variety of exciting careers, and the Math Scavenger Hunt brought elementary students on campus to learn how math skills are used to solve real problems. It is an honor to serve as chair of such an innovative and industrious department. We will spend time this year re-envisioning our role in the academic community and always welcome input from our stakeholders. We continue to welcome students from a wide variety of technical backgrounds into our AAS Technology and BS Technology Management programs. Please contact me if you have any questions about our courses, certificates, or degrees.
