Our tour begins at the heart of student life at Utah Valley State, the Sorensen Student Center. Named after one of UVSC’s most influential founders, Wilson W. Sorensen, this central building on campus houses all the student necessities including: the bookstore, Scoops ice cream parlor and a food court with a variety of options, in addition to a post office, housing services, Outdoor Education Adventure Rentals, the intramurals office, a copy center and credit union. Upstairs, the Sorensen Center houses the Ragan Theater for productions and performances, an open computer lab, student media and publications – home to The College Times student newspaper and NetXNews broadcast, a cafeteria, student government and student services, including health education, wellness services and dispute resolution.
