UVU AP Policies & Procedures

In recognition of the Advanced Placement® (AP) Program sponsored by the College Entrance Examination Board, students who complete an AP course in high school and receive a score of 3, 4, or 5 on the corresponding AP Examination will be granted credits in that subject. Credit will be posted as a "CR" grade and will not be calculated in the GPA. If all UVU Credit, Grade Point Average, and Residence Requirements have been met, there is no limit to the number of AP credits which may be accepted. Duplicate credit will not be awarded for courses previously completed at UVU or other College/University.

Students who received AP test scores of 3 or higher must request an official AP Score Report from CollegeBoard to be sent to the Transfer Credit Office to have their results posted on their UVU student record/transcript. Credit is granted according to the policy in effect at the time UVU receives proof of the AP Exam and score. Policies are subject to change. Please refer to the below link for questions you may have regarding what courses and credits are granted at UVU for specific AP Exams.
