TRANSFERRING TO A COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY IN THE UTAH SYSTEM OF HIGHER EDUCATION

UVU courses numbered 1000 or above will transfer within the Utah System of Higher Education (USHE). However, the application of these courses is determined by academic departments of receiving institutions.

TRANSFERRING BEFORE EARNING AN ASSOCIATE IN SCIENCE/ARTS DEGREE (USHE)
Students transferring before earning an Associate in Science/Arts Degree and have NOT completed UVU's General Education Requirements , need to contact the USHE institution they are transferring to in order to determine how their credits will be accepted.

Students transferring before earning an Associate in Science/Arts Degree and have completed UVU's General Education Requirements , may request a "GE Letter of Completion" from the UVU Graduation Office. This letter will be acknowledged by the USHE gaining institution as fulfilling the General/Liberal Education Requirements of the USHE gaining institution. However, it does not waive any necessary hours to graduate.

TRANSFERRING AFTER EARNING AN ASSOCIATE IN SCIENCE/ARTS DEGREE (USHE)
Completion of an Associate in Science/Arts Degree generally waives the General/Liberal Education Requirements of the USHE gaining institution. However, it does not waive any necessary hours to graduate.

TRANSFERRING TO A PRIVATE, PAROCHIAL OR OUT-OF-STATE COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY

Since these schools are not bound by Utah State Regent's policies, colleges/universities outside the Utah System of Higher Education may have specific requirements and may not accept all courses available at UVU. Students should contact the institution they are transferring to in order to determine how their credits will be accepted.
