Marriage Workshop: The marriage workshop is an educational experience and not therapeutic counseling. The marriage workshop focuses on learning concepts and skills to enhance marriage and not individual or partner issues, problematic behaviors, and specific conflicts unique to your relationship. The facilitator will direct attention back to informational concepts and principles and not engage in therapy. The workshop lasts an hour and a half and includes information from current research, theory, and clinical experience.
Pre-Marriage Workshop: The pre-marriage workshop is an educational learning experience and not therapeutic intervention. The pre-marriage workshop focuses on learning concepts and skills that are beneficial in preparing for marriage and will not focus on partner issues, problematic behaviors, and specific conflicts unique to your relationship. The facilitator will direct attention back to informational concepts and principles and not engage in therapy. The workshop lasts an hour and a half and includes information from current research, theory, and clinical experience. Completion of the RELATE questionnaire found at www.relate-institute.org/ is highly recommended prior to attending the pre-marriage workshop.
Marital and Pre-Marital Therapy: Therapeutic services are available through Turning Point and interest in services may be discussed with your facilitator. Due to the number of clients seen by our therapist you will most likely be on a waiting list before receiving services or you can contact the BYU Comprehensive Clinic at 801-422-7759 for couples counseling.
