Math Week 2013

Join us March 25-29 in celebrating UVU’s Ninth Annual Math Week 2013 and discover how “Math Rocks Music.”

The week’s activities, which kick off with a carnival March 25, will provide fun for all UVU students, faculty and staff.

David Wright, chair of Washington University’s Department of Mathematics, will lead a presentation on “Mathematics In Music.”

Math Week 2013 is sponsored by UVU’s Department of Developmental Mathematics, Department of Mathematics, University College and College of Science & Health. Math Rocks MusicMath Rocks Music

Second Annual Math Week Eat-a-Round Cooking contest

What: Student Eat-a-Round Cooking contest
Description: Eat-a-Round is a Math Week activity focused on two of our favorite things: Circles and Circular food.

When: Tuesday, March 26, 12:00pm
Where: UVU Quad

Student Eat-a-round Cooking Contest:
Entry Criterion:
1. Item must be homemade
2. Item must be round

Judging begins promptly at 12:00pm in the UV Quad.
Prizes awarded at 1:00pm for Most Creative, Most Mathematical, Best Tasting, and the Pythagorus Award for Best All-A-Round.
