The Mobile CTC is a 53' semi trailer constructed to meet the needs of the metropolitan, suburban, and rural areas within the state of Utah by offering incident managers with "virtual world" simulation training.
The courses offered in the Mobile CTC mirror the courses currently being offered at the "fixed" CTC. The quality of Instructors, state-of-the-art technology, high-tech communication systems, space, and comfort provide the students an excellent learning experience.
To schedule the Mobile CTC, Training Officers, or designee's, should call their county's UFRA Program Manager. Your Program Manager will then confirm a date and time and explain the process along with needed prerequisites and requirements. Program Managers can be reached by calling our toll-free number @ 1-888-548-7816.

The benefit of the Mobile CTC is that "Command Training" can be delivered to your department's doorstep. The Mobile CTC has every capability that the fixed facility has, except it is on wheels. Ideally the classroom session (appox. four hours) of the CTC course would be delivered in a department's training room for maximum comfort. The class would then proceed to the Mobile CTC for the remainder of the training (appox. 12 hours).
Presently there is no cost for using the Mobile CTC training. This is because of a $500,000.00 supplemental grant that was provided to the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy for the development and delivery of the Mobile CTC training. However, after those funds run out, there may be a fee associated with Mobile CTC training.
