Student Scholarly and Creative Activity Funding Opportunities
UVU Funding for Student Presentations
The Office of Undergraduate Research and International Programs has modest funding available to assist students who are presenting student scholarly and creative presentations at professional meetings.  Funds are available for travel (air or vehicle), registration fees, and lodging.

Graduate Scholarships
There are many scholarship opportunities for graduates.  Listed below is a sample of organizations offering graduate scholarships.  At the bottom of the page, are links to pdf files with additional summaries of scholarship opportunities for graduates and undergraduates.

 

Rhodes Scholarship
The Rhodes is a prestigious 2 year grant to the University of Oxford.  The purpose of the grant is to develop future leaders in any field. For detailed guidelines on how to apply click here.

Marshall Scholarship

Fulbright Scholarship
The Fulbright offers the opportunity for student scholars to study abroad at many locations across the globe.  It is a six-month to one-year grant and is concentrated primarily on scholarly potential and preparation.  For detailed guidelines on how to apply click here.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation - Graduate Scholarship Program

Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation
The Truman Scholarship provides up to $30,000 in funding to students pursuing graduate degrees in public service fields.  Students must be college juniors at the time of selection.  The Foundation also provides assistance with career counseling, internship placement, graduate school admissions, and professional development.  For detailed guidelines on how to apply, visit the website at www.truman.gov

Scholar of the Year
The Scholarly and Creative Activities Council, through the Office of Undergraduate Research and International Programs, has established an award intended to formally recognize the outstanding scholarly and creative activities of students at Utah Valley University.  Funding has been set aside to annually award one outstanding student with a cash award which could be used for further scholarly or creative activities.  The recipients are honored at the Annual Scholarly and Creative Activities Showcase held in April each year.
