Utah Campus Compact AmeriCorps Education Award Program
What is AmeriCorps?
AmeriCorps is a network of national service programs that engage more than 50,000 American each year in intensive service to meet critical needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment.
The AmeriCorps Education Award Program provides an education award ranging between $1,175 and $2,775 for 300, 450, 675, or 900 hours of service. The award is valid for seven years and can be used to pay for current tuition, future tuition, and past student loans. The award may be used at any Title IV institution of higher education within the United States.
Currently, several Utah Valley University students are serving in the community through the AmeriCorps program. Over 12,000 hours were given from August to November 2011! Overall, 1200 individuals throughout the state will provide 500,000 service hours back to the State of Utah through the AmeriCorps program this year.

Thank you for your interest in the AmeriCorps program! The enrollment period has closed for the 2011-2012 school year. Information regarding AmeriCorps for the 2012-2013 school year will be posted in August of 2012.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien of the US
- Must be 17 years old or older
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
