About the AmeriCorps Program
AmeriCorps is a network of national service programs that engage more than 50,000 Americans each year in intensive service to meet critical needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment.
Utah Valley University is a recipient of the AmeriCorps Education Award Program which provides an education award for students ranging between $1,175 and $2,775 for 300, 450, 675, or 900 hours of service. The award is valid for seven years and can be used to pay for current tuition, future tuition, and past student loans. The award may be used at any Title IV institution of higher education within the United States.
For the 2012-2013 grant year, Utah Valley University has been allotted 40 AmeriCorps Member slots. Because of the reduced number of available slots, they will fill quickly.

If you have enrolled in the AmeriCorps Program in previous grant years, please be aware that there are several changes that have gone into effect for the 2012-2013 grant year. Please read the Eligibility Information section carefully to determine if you are eligible to participate in the AmeriCorps Program this year.
Eligibility Information
Please read this information carefully. Utah Valley University was allotted AmeriCorps member slots for the Education Focus Area and the Healthy Futures Focus Area only.
To be eligible for the AmeriCorps Program through Utah Valley University for the 2012-2013 grant year, you must provide service that meets the criteria for the Education Focus Area or the Healthy Futures Focus Area.
Make sure you are aware of what you will be required to do before enrolling in this program as the requirements have changed. Enrollment in the program will be on a first come, first serve basis.
