UCC AmeriCorps Program Education Focus Area

General Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien of the US
• Must be 17 years old or older
• Possess a high school diploma or GED

Education Focus Area Eligibility Requirements

If you participate in the AmeriCorps program through the Education Focus Area, you must be able to meet all the criteria below. If you cannot, your service does not qualify you for participation in the Utah Campus Compact AmeriCorps Program under the Education Focus Area

• I am serving only K-12 students during this project
• I am able to track the number of students who started the education program (track how many students you were working with at the beginning of your service)
• I am able to track the number of students who leave the education program (how many students move classes, drop out, transfer schools, etc)
• I am able to track the number of new students who start the education program (how many students move in, transfer in, etc)
• I am able to track activity/assignment completion
• I am able to track participation and retention in classroom/activity
• I will serve the same group of students for at least 300 hours
• I am serving at an Education Focus Area site that has a signed Qualified Site Contract on file with Utah Campus Compact. List of sites. If you don't see your site listed, contact Laura Christopherson at laurac@uvu.edu to get a Qualifying Site Contract for your site.
