If you are ready to serve, learn, make friends, and make a difference, then APPLY between November 8 - January 17, 2014 for a 2014 Alternative Spring Break Trip!

The Program Coordinator and the Site Leaders work to secure the lowest rates possible on all expenses.

Important Dates:

November 8, 2013: Participant applications open

January 17, 2014 5:00pm: Participant applications close

January 31, 2014: Non-refundable deposit of $100 due. (This is what holds your spot)

February 21, 2014: Full payment due/no refunds given after this date

Poverty: San Diego, CA

Poverty is more than meets they eye. Come learn about the complex issue of poverty through serving with Habitat for Humanity and other non-profit organizations that work to combat poverty in San Diego.  All majors are welcome to apply. Cost: $550 (covers the cost of transportation, food, lodging, and other associated costs)

Why did you want to get involved in UVU Alternative Breaks?: I wanted to gain more experience in leadership and social issues to someday be able to be a part of implementing social change throughout communities all around the globe!
