Getting Started at Wasatch Campus

APPLY TO UVU:

Complete the online application at www.uvu.edu/admissions/ and pay the application fee. The admissions deadline for fall semester is August 1 and for spring is December 20. A late fee may be charged if applications are received after these deadlines. After 48 hours, you will need to access your UVU student e-mail account by going to www.uvu.edu and clicking on UVLink. This e-mail account is where ALL OFFICIAL UVU communications will be sent. Be sure to check often for news and notices. You may wish to forward your UVU e-mail to your own personal e-mail account.

Two FINANCIAL AID and SCHOLARSHIPS:

Begin applying for scholarships and the FAFSA . You can access scholarship, grant, loan, and work study information at the UVU financial aid web-site. www.uvu.edu/financialaid/
- FINANCIAL AID & SCHOLARSHIPS - Complete the Federal Financial Aid  Applicaiton (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov.  The scholarship deadline is February 1.  The financial aid first priority deadline is May 1.  Questions may be answered at www.uvu.edu/financialaid/ or call (801) 863-8442.

Three SUBMIT ACT OR SAT SCORES; HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT; COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS:

Test scores are required for all students under age 24 by the admissions deadline unless you have completed 15 or more college credits. All students can attend UVU regardless of test scores. The New Student Assessment test is required if:

a. ACT scores in English, reading and/or math are less than 19 or SAT scores are less than 500 in verbal and/or math. (English scores must be less than three years old and Math must be less than two years old.)
b. College credit equivalent (AP, CLEP, Transfer) to UVU's ENGL 1010 and/or MAT 1010 is not posted to your UVU transcript. Send official high school or college transcripts to UVU, 800 W. University Parkway MS 106, Orem, UT 84058.

The UVU New Student Assessment is available for a $10 charge at the Wasatch Campus. The complete assessment takes approximately two hours with the last test handed out two hours prior to closing. The testing center is located in the library. Retakes cost $10 for Math and $20 for English. You may take the test up to three times during a six-week period, if needed for a retake.

Four MEET WITH YOUR ACADEMIC ADVISOR:

After completing the above steps, you will meet with an advisor to get personalized help and be cleared for registration. Please stop by the advisement office for an appointment (801) 863-6601 or (435) 654-6482.

Five REGISTER FOR CLASSES AND PAY TUITION:

For ease and convenience, register and pay for classes using UVLink. For questions, visit with Mike or Tom.
- TEXTBOOKS - Purchase textbooks online through UVLink "Book Match" or visit the Wasatch Campus Bookstore and talk with Katie Young.  Wasatch Campus bookstore hours are TBD. Contact Katie Young for any questions.
