Each department or entity at UVU has the opportunity to have a public facing web site. This can be used to market their programs, share information, or other needs as they see fit. To keep the UVU site consistent and manageable, these Site and Page Standards have been adopted for all UVU institutional pages and sites. (see the UVWAC minutes for the definition of institutional pages and sites)

• All pages and sites will use the approved templates - see the Web Style Guide for design and layout standards
• All pages will be in the approved content management system (CMS) - adopted 10/17/2007
• Each department site will have a root URL unless deemed differently by their Dean or divisional head
• All pages will pass validation in XHTML 1.0 Transitional, CSS, and Accessibilities - see Validator Tools for details
• Each department will have the ability to do CSS and Javascript for their site - see Web Development Standards
• Each department that wishes can use an approve server-side scripting language to access data, or make interactive elements on their pages
