If you need a new website or need significant changes to an existing site, Web Development Services can help with building and reorganizing websites of various types and with functionality to suit your needs.
All sites housed on the uvu.edu domain are built through Web Development Services. This includes department and organization websites across all of UVU campus. If you would like to create a new site within uvu.edu, or make changes to your existing site, you will need to submit a project for each site you would like to be worked on. Once your project is submitted, your project will be prioritized by the University Communications Committee among Web Development Services' other project requests.
In addition to sites within uvu.edu, Web Development Services also builds "standalone" sites for organizations that are affiliated with the University. These sites use their own domains and are generally built using the Joomla! platform. If you have a site that is affiliated with the university, but that should sit outside of uvu.edu that you would like development services for, please submit a project. Once your project is submitted, your project will be prioritized by the University Communications Committee among Web Development Services' other project requests.
Web Development Services provides blogging services for the campus community on the Wordpress platform. Blogs can be a great way to facilitate communication and an additional avenue for promoting events and university-related topics. The blog service is maintained by Web Development services, however, individual blog owners are responsible for writing blog posts and moderating comments on their own blogs. If your department, club, or organization would like to set up a blog, contact Mallory Snyder.
