Parents/Guardians, Caregivers and children will wash their hands for 20 seconds with liquid soap and warm water after the following times:

• After using the toilet
• Before and after eating
• Upon returning from outdoor play
• After wiping nose
• After handling animals
• Before and after food preparation
• Before picking up children from classrooms
• Before and after playing with toys
• After Diapering

Caregivers and children will dry their hands with a single use of paper towel from a covered dispenser and or an electric hand-drying device.

Caregivers will also wash their hands immediately after changing a diaper and between diaper changes.

Please note that hand washing and food preparation are not done in the same sink.

Hand washing procedures will be posted at each hand washing stations and will be followed.
