UVU Wellness Programs is no longer accepting applications for the Fall 2015 - Spring 2016 internship. We will begin accepting applications for the 2016-2017 school year beginning March 1, 2016. 

UVU Wellness Programs Internship

Internship opportunities are available each year to students who are a senior (undergraduate) in a related health field (Community Health, Exercise Science, Fitness & Wellness or Public Health).

We provide scholarship funding for UVU students and a stipend for non-UVU students. UVU students will need to have at least a 2.5 GPA and be taking 12 credits (which can include internship credit) in order to qualify for the scholarship. We require that each intern works approximately 10 hrs a week (or more depending on how many hours are needed for their internship).

Internship hours include one of the following options: Monday/Wednesday 9:00am-2:00pm, Monday/Wednesday 10:00am-3:00pm, Tuesday/Thursday 9:00am-2:00pm, or Tuesday/Thursday 10:00am-3:00pm.

Internship Responsibilities

  • Providing guest presentations for colleges courses on nutrition, fitness, and wellness-related topics.
  • Administering health screenings
  • Health & Wellness program planning and implementation
  • Individual behavior modification counseling
  • Assisting with special events and projects as warranted

How to Apply

All interested students must fill out a Wellness Internship Application . All applications will be screened and top applicants will be called for an interview interview. The applicants' three given references (work, academic, and personal) will be checked and the top candidates will be selected.
