National Advisory Council Expectations
Thank you for your willingness to serve on the UVU Woodbury School of Business (WSB)
National Advisory Council (NAC). It is anticipated you will serve for a three (3)
year term with the possibility of additional terms upon mutual agreement.
Each NAC member is respectfully asked to assist in EACH of the following ways:
- Participate in the two annual NAC Board meetings (held Spring and Fall each year)
- Make or Secure a Gift
Make a minimum gift of $1,000. Many NAC members give at higher levels as their interests
dictate. Donations will be used for either the Dean’s Discretionary Fund or the NAC
Woodbury School of Business Scholarship Fund. This may also include a corporate gift
on your behalf.
- Develop a Prospect List
Each Foundation Board member is asked to develop a prospect list of people/companies
who might support the UVU Woodbury School of Business’s financially and educationally.
- Mentor in the Woodbury School of Business Mentoring Program
Each NAC member is asked to participate in the mentoring program and be a mentor to
one or more UVU WSB students. Mentoring is a major component of the education for
WSB students. NAC members are encouraged to help in recruiting other mentors as well.
Other events NAC members may enjoy include:
- UVU Scholarship Ball(fall each year)
- UVU all Advisory Board Breakfast with President Holland(fall each year)
- UVU Donor Appreciation Banquet(spring each year)
Each NAC member will be eligible and included in the Woodbury School of Business Partners
program. Additional information on the Partners program is enclosed.
