What is the UVU Opportunity Quest competition?

The UVU Opportunity Quest is open to all students across the UVU campus. The competition is designed to foster the students' entrepreneurial mindset through experiential education and connecting them with regional communities of like-minded entrepreneurs.  UVU prides itself on teaching competencies in both managerial and technical skills. Entrepreneurs have a natural inclination toward innovation, achievement, self-determination, and personal resiliency,

The UVU Opportunity Quest gives students a chance to create, develop, and then present their business concepts to a panel of experienced judges. The UVU Entrepreneurship Institute helps prepare teams for the competition through a series of workshops, and access to resource people.

A cash prize of $3,000 as well as in-kind services will be awarded to the first place team. A panel of experienced entrepreneurs will determine the most viable and promising executive summary. The first-place team will also entered as a finalist in the 2013 Utah Entrepreneur Challenge.  UVU Opportunity Quest competition will also award cash prizes of $1,500 and $750 for 2nd and 3rd place teams respectively.
