Web Style Guide: UVU YouTube Presence

Utah Valley University now has a presence on YouTube Education (http://www.youtube.com/education) which permits us to post full length videos (maximum size 2 gig and no maximum on length).  YouTube allows one channel per institution that encompasses the entire campus and is intended for educational materials as opposed to promotional. The Utah Valley University YouTube Education presence is managed by Marketing and Communications in cooperation with Information Technology.  Below you will find protocols and practices for posting on the UVU YouTube EDU account.

Institutions seem to be increasingly adding resources and 'presence' to sites such as YouTube.  UVU is one of these. Marketing & Communications, in cooperation with Information Technology, has implemented a YouTube EDU presence for UVU at http://www.youtube.com/utahvalleyuniversity/ and is now working to create processes, protocols and practices for posting of UVU supported resources on YouTube and other sites.

We welcome feedback! If you have opinions or ideas, please write them to mckinnwi@uvu.edu or anne.arendt@uvu.edu for consideration.

Below are protocols and practices for posting on the UVU YouTube EDU account (Last update: 5/25/2010):
