The Women of UVU Association is divided into four different branches:

  1. The Presidents Branch
  2. The Association Relations branch
  3. The Activities Branch
  4. The Recruiting & Outreach Branch.

 

Review the different position guidelines and requirements, and apply for the position that best suits you. Applications open each spring semester.

Leadership Application Process:

  • Students must possess a 3.0 GPA at the time of application.
  • Students must remain in good standing with the Student’s Rights and Responsibilities Code.
  • Students must be able to attend all required meetings.
  • Students must create a free OrgSync profile. It takes less than ten seconds to sign up.
  • Print out the application form and turn it in to LC 101 or LC 303 by March 29th, 2017

Leadership Positions in the President Branch

President

The President is the head officer over all Executive Council meetings. The President provides leadership and guidance for the association.

  • Shall be the chief presiding officer for all Executive Council meetings
  • Shall provide leadership and guidance to the organization
  • Shall act as the official spokesperson of the group
  • Shall serve as a liaison between the Women of UVUSA and the Women’s Success Advisory Board
  • Minimum of 5 weekly hours dedicated to responsibilities

Executive Vice President

The Executive Vice President takes over all responsibilities if the President is absent.

  • Shall take over all responsibilities of the President in the event that the President is absent or no longer in office
  • Shall be responsible for understanding all Women of UVUSA and campus policies and procedures
  • Shall be responsible for following up on events and tasks with each committee
  • Shall prepare and lead the Transition Banquet as well as any retreats
  • Minimum of 5 weekly hours dedicated to responsibilities

Leadership Positions in the Activities Branch

Activities Chair

The Activities Chair organizes association events.

  • Helps develop, plan, and execute events and activities for the Women of UVUSA that align with the mission of the organization
  • Recruits, trains, and retains committee members to help organize and publicize all events
  • Completes event documents located on Orgsync for all events and activities planned
  • Keeps a current budget report of all event expenditures and turns in all receipts
  • Minimum of 5 weekly hours dedicated to responsibilities

Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff keeps meeting notes and maintains current contact information for all involved association members.

  • Shall create an electronic version of the minutes from each meeting and make them accessible to members within 48 hours of said meeting
  • Shall keep all Women of UVUSA members’ current contact information, including but not limited to: full name, UVID, birthdate, phone number, email, and address
  • Shall accept all delegated responsibilities of the President & Vice President
  • Fulfills the role of Association Historian--collecting pictures and write-ups for each activity
  • Shall prepare the video for the Transition Banquet
  • Minimum of 5 weekly hours dedicated to responsibilities

Marketing Managers

Marketing Managers publicize the events that happen within the Women of UVU Association.

  • Work with all branches of the association in efforts to brand the Women of UVUSA
  • Run the Women of UVUSA social media accounts
  • Take photos of all Women of UVU activities, retreats and events to market and grow the association
  • Create a marketing campaign that aligns with the mission of the Women of UVUSA in efforts to grow the Women of UVUSA
  • Experience in Graphic Design helpful
  • Minimum of 5 weekly hours dedicated to responsibilities

Leadership Positions in the Association Relations Branch

Association Relations Chair

The Association Relations Chair establishes relationships within the Women of UVU Association, and strives to make association involvement fulfilling and inspiring.

  • Takes a lead role in designing and implementing service projects
  • Recruits, trains, and retains committee members to assist with tasks and generates new ideas in relation to the mission of the Women of UVUSA
  • Meets weekly or bi-weekly with committee
  • Plans and executes Monthly Book/Film Club
  • Identifies influential women--be they faculty members, community members, or students--and invites her to be a spotlight for the Women of UVU via social media and/or the WSC Newsletter
  • Establishes Community Connections and involvement
  • Minimum of 5 weekly hours dedicated to responsibilities

Activities Committee
