Growing Campus
The UVU campus has transformed dramatically, adding nearly 700,000 square feet since 2009. With seven new structures completed in the past five years and more on the way, UVU has grown at a rate that matches the achievements of its students.

Student Life & Wellness Center

With 170,000 square feet dedicated to helping students care for mind, body, and spirit, the new Student Life & Wellness Center features four stories of fitness areas, a 40-foot indoor climbing wall, six bowling lanes, a reflection center, and health and nutrition resources.

Science Building

Completed in 2012, the Science Building has kept UVU on the cutting edge with 27 laboratory classrooms, 18 lecture rooms, 12 research laboratories, a rooftop greenhouse, and a 400-seat auditorium.

Vivint Business Resource Center

Created in January 2012 and home to UVU’s new sales program, the center offers a variety of services to spur Utah’s economic and business development. It also houses the state’s No. 1 Small Business Development Center.

Classroom Building

In 2013, the University broke ground on the 244,000-square-foot Classroom Building to meet the demands of UVU’s unprecedented growth. Scheduled for completion by December 2014, the building will include 34 classrooms, a 1,000-seat auditorium, and office space for UVU’s expanding faculty.

Wee Care Center

Completed in August 2013 and privately funded by the Barbara Barrington Jones Family Foundation and others, the Wee Care Center offers priority enrollment for children of UVU students in need. The center includes seven classrooms, a kitchen, a multipurpose area, and two playgrounds.

225 New Acres / Intramural Fields

UVU will transform 225 acres at the former Geneva Steel site in Vineyard into an educational oasis, effectively doubling the University’s footprint in Utah County. Ten acres at the Vineyard site are currently being utilized by UVU as intramural fields. The property is located 2.3 miles from the main campus along UTA’s FrontRunner corridor.


More than a million patrons have entered the UVU Library each year over the last five years. With five floors, 190,000 square feet, and more than 180,000 collection items, the library empowers UVU students to achieve their academic goals.

Alumni & Visitor Center

Purchased and renovated to house UVU’s alumni and development units, the Alumni Center offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere for alumni and visitors.

Need for an Arts Center

UVU’s School of the Arts boasts some of the finest programs and faculty in the country. UVU is launching a campaign to raise public and private funding for a much-needed center for the arts.
