Hi! My name is Christian Heftel, and I’m excited to be serving as UVU Accessibility Services’ full-time learning specialist. I have a long and eclectic history as a student and instructor. I have a BA in English from BYU, but I’ve also been a Latin tutor, a German tutor, a research assistant, a speech-to-text transcriber, a kung fu teacher, a personal trainer, and more. Outside of work, I love rock climbing, foreign languages, spending time with my family, training, and playing retro video games.
I’m here to help empower students to take ownership of their education and support them as they create their own path to success. Your pathway to success may not look like everyone else’s, and that’s okay. What matters is that you find it and that it’s yours. I hope that some of the things that I’ve found along my way can help you as you are finding yours. 😊 I hope to see you at a workshop!
Hello everyone! My name is Saela Rossetti, and I am a learning specialist at UVU Accessibility Services. I graduated from Utah Valley University in May 2023, with a BS degree in psychology and Minor in communications.
I am excited to continue working with students on campus as a learning strategist. As a past student, and one with a disability, I understand the challenges of trying to navigate college alone. Balancing school, work, life and other challenges can be extremely difficult without some help. I am happy to be that support for students, where we can work one on one to achieve your learning and academic goals.
