Why Accessibility Matters

If you get an error when linking to these courses, please FIRST enroll in the course through Bridge.

Accessible Audio/Video (including Captioning)

The Office of Teaching and Learning provides assistance for faculty requesting closed captioning for any video or audio used in their Canvas course materials.  Please contact OTL Support Services to request this service.

In order to have captions/subtitles added to videos for a Deaf or hard-of-hearing student in your class who has accommodations through the Office of Accessibility Services (OAS), please contact Katie Poole at poolekat@uvu.edu. In your email, please include the video file or link (YouTube, etc.) OR a way to access your hard copy of the video (original video will be returned to you unaltered). Also include the name of the student receiving the accommodation through OAS, as well as the approximate date you plan to use the video. Please allow at least one week for processing (although if you don’t have a week, later is definitely better than never).
