Mentoring for Women in Accounting

Business professionals understand the value of networking and communication.

As you build an Accounting career, you are creating your own networks for relationships and communication.  One way to think of networking and communication might be to recognize them as a kind of asset.  Your house and property are real estate assets.  Your money and investments are financial assets.  Networking and communication are social assets.

Your academic scholarship prepares you with specific skill sets with which to enter the Accounting career.  Your mentoring is preparing you with the basic understanding of how to navigate your desired position in the Accounting profession.  A third area for a business professional to consider developing is social acumen because your networking and communication capabilities can integrate you into the Accounting world.

Come gain insight into how you can enhance your networking and communication talents.

Monthly mentoring is held on four Thursdays in a semester from 5:30pm - 7:30pm in room WB 146G.

To accommodate busy schedules, dinner will be served at each of the meetings.  Students are asked to wear professional attire and fulfill commitments identified in the mentoring application.  Most importantly, each student is asked to prepare herself for a life changing experience.
