Freshman Documents

In order to complete your admission to UVU, the following documentation is required for all freshman students:

High School Transcripts

  • Official High School Transcripts - In order to be considered official, high school transcripts must be submitted in one of the following ways. 
    • Faxed DIRECTLY from the high school w/ a fax cover sheet to: 801.863.8913
    • Emailed DIRECTLY from the high school to:
    • Sent by mail from the high school to: UVU Office of Admissions 800 W. University Pkwy. MS 106 Orem, UT. 84058

Placement Information

  • If you have not taken the ACT or SAT to satisfy the English placement requirement, students can take the Accuplacer at UVU Testing Services in the Wolverine Service Center. Information, exam costs and hours are available at UVU Testing Services.
  • If you are unable to come to Utah Valley University to take the Accuplacer please visit the UVU Testing Services website for more information on how to locate a testing center near you.

You can be admitted with expired test scores, however, placement tests may be required prior to course registration. Expired test scores will be accepted for admission purposes only.

Transferable college level English credit may waive the need for English placement testing. Once transcripts have been evaluated by the Transfer Credit Office, testing requirements will be waived if applicable.

ACT/SAT Testing

ACT/SAT scores are not required for admission purposes. However, these scores are required for some scholarships and if not expired (2 years for Math and 5 years for English) may satisfy some pre-requisites for course registration.

  • ACT/SAT information is often listed on your high school transcript. It will be considered official if recorded on the official high school transcript you submit.
