About the UVU Pedestrian Bridge

The UVU Pedestrian Bridge will provide access between the Intermodal Center in Orem and the UVU campus. The bridge will span almost 1,000 feet across I-15 and will be 15 feet wide.  Elevators on each side of the bridge will accommodate pedestrians, bikes and scooters.  The $30.7 million bridge project will dramatically improve safety for pedestrians and decrease congestion on nearby streets. It will make transit, biking and walking more appealing to University students, staff and visitors while improving the integrated transportation system in central Utah County.

Agency Partnership

This project is a collaborative effort between UDOT, UVU and UTA to fund and build a multi-modal bridge across I-15 providing a safe, direct route for students and faculty traveling back and forth from housing and the Orem Intermodal Center to campus. The City of Orem and the Mountainland Association of Governments were key partners in the concept, study and design phases of the bridge, and are also important stakeholders in the project moving forward.
