What a Degree Will Do For You

The Substance Abuse Disorders Counseling (SUDC) certificate program allows you to work in an exciting and growing field providing help to individuals and families suffering from addictions. Substance use disorder counselors build personalized programs for their clients that help them establish healthy behaviors and coping strategies they can use as they continue down the path to recovery.

Career Potential

SUDC certificate graduates have the opportunity to enter an in-demand and growing career. Substance use disorder counselors can work in a variety of different settings, from rehabilitation clinics and healthcare facilities to employee assistance programs and community health centers.

Licensing Preparation

This certificate program fills all the educational requirements for licensure and gives students knowledge they need to successfully pass their licensure exams. Please note that additional work experience might be necessary to obtain your license.
