The IRS Form 1098-T is a tuition statement for the purpose of determining a student's eligibility for the Hope and Lifetime Learning education tax credits. UVU reports amounts billed to the student for qualified tuition and related expenses and other related information. As each student’s tax liability is subject to various personal factors, students and parents are encouraged to seek additional information directly from the IRS or their personal tax adviser. Utah Valley University cannot provide tax related advice or recommendations.
