Hospitality Management, Certificate of Proficiency

Requirements

The Institutional Certificate of Proficiency in Hospitality Management is available for all UVU students with a particular focus designed to provide high school students an opportunity to obtain a certificate of proficiency with a focus on career and technical education while still enrolled in highs school. This certificate will also be available from the University for college students/adults looking for entry-level skills leading to further academic advancement. This certificate is designed to stack into certificate and associate degrees at UVU. Students learn about a wide range of hospitality and tourism areas such as: hotel, resort, and motel management; event planning; restaurant and institutional food service; and a number of other areas such as cruise ship management,amusement park management, convention and visitor facilities, and gaming facilities.
