Students

Welcome to the Career Development Center (CDC). Career development is a lifelong process, so in addition to the help we provide while you’re a student, we’ll continue to assist you after you graduate. For now, here are ways we can help:

  • We provide insights about you through our quick assessment tool
  • We can make you aware of career options
  • We help you prepare for your chosen career
  • We help you take action to land your first career position

For each of these steps we have multiple tools that will help empower you to reach your career goals. Please call to make an appointment with one of our career counselors, and we can get the ball rolling for your career. If you already know what you want to do, follow the links to all our resources below. Thank you for taking the time to visit our site today, and please call or email us with any questions that remain.

Graduate School Fair

career fair

Date: October 1, 2020

Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Location: Virtual: Register & Attend Here

The Graduate School Fair features representatives from general graduate studies offices, specific graduate programs, and professional health schools (medical, dental, osteopathic, PA, PT, OT, chiropractic, optometry, pharmacy, dental hygiene). Here are a few reasons for you to attend:

  • Get a running start on your career by becoming an "employable quality graduate."
  • Make contacts to broaden your horizons after graduation.
  • Campus representatives from a strong and diverse group of more than 80 programs with graduate, business, and health professions programs.
  • An opportunity to discuss admission and degree requirements with representatives.
  • A chance to talk informally with admissions representatives about their specific institutions and about the benefits of graduate and/or professional study in general.

Graduate School Fair comes only once per year. So seniors, this is your last chance to attend.

Education Students

Handshake is an online system listing all off-campus job offers made available to students by the Career Development Center Employment Partners. Many school districts advertise on Handshake, where registered education students can view and apply for open teaching positions. School district representatives visit UVU in the fall and spring each year to interview UVU education graduates.

Handshake is the only system where education students can sign up for interviews without visiting school district representatives.
