Engineering and Technology Week 2021 – February 23 and 24 @ UVU

Middle/Jr. High and High Schools: Teachers/Chaperones please fill out the form below for visit on February 24, 2021. During the visit, students:

  • Tour College of Engineering and Technology labs at UVU and have lunch.
  • Visit UVU student projects and participate in fun hands-on projects sponsored by CET @ UVU.
  • Receive scholarships for your school projects, individually or in teams, judged by the UVU faculty.
  • Receive gifts and awards for your winning projects, or just for visiting UV

Participating student projects from middle and high schools should meet the following criteria:

  • Problem Statement: What problem is the project trying to solve?
  • Approach to Solving the Problem: What approach using Technology/Engineering mindset is used to solve the problem?
  • Implementation: Demonstrate that the project works and solves the problem.
  • Presentation: 2-3 slides stating the problem statement, approach to problem solution, and demonstration of the working project.

Rules and Resources

Waiver Form

Parents of students who are attending at the UVU campus must fill out the attached waiver form. Form should then be collected by the responsible teacher/advisor before students can board the bus to come to UVU.

Bus Drop Off and Pick Up Instructions

Morning Arrival, children drop off and parking: Buses drop off children by the L13 Parking Lot (next to the Parking Garage). Children are walked to the Grand Ballroom accompanied by their teachers/chaperones. Buses park in the UVU WEST CAMPUS (HP Building). Before children are let on buses at schools, please make sure they hand in their signed “waiver” forms which are available here. These waivers should be signed by parents and upon arrival at UVU handed to the UVU administrator in the Grand Ballroom. UVU student guides are available to direct the groups to the Grand Ballroom.

Afternoon Pick up and Departure: Children walk back to Parking lot L13 accompanies by their teachers/chaperones. Buses pick up children at L13 Parking Lot and travel back to schools.
