Project Competition Results 2021

Local Middle School and High School students submitted projects to participate in our annual project competition. Winners receive scholarships and awards, individually or in teams, judged by the UVU faculty panel. Project submissions were filmed and submitted virtually to maintain social distancing.

For 2021 we received 11 outstanding projects. Below we have listed the award winners with the video explaining each project. Congratulations to all participants and thank you for your excellent contributions! Each participant will receive a certificate and winners will be contacted to receive your awards.

Due to the high caliber of projects we received, we have increased the number of scholarships and awards in 2021. This is made possible by Facebook, the sponsor of this year's event.

You're Invited to participate next year

If you're interested in participating next time, we will be hosting this event again in February 2022! We also have free resources available for schools to help them with projects. This year, several UVU students visited schools weekly to assist them with developing ideas and completing their projects. If your school would like us to reach out, please contact our STEM outreach coordinator, Megan Stanley (megan.stanley@uvu.edu). We also visit schools and share more about the exciting career opportunities within the fields of engineering and technology. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
