Dean's Merit

 CET students who are residents of the state of Utah, enrolled in least 12 credits and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The amount varies by major.

Private Scholarships

These funds are donated by companies and individuals who wish to support future generation professionals in having a shot at academic success. The criteria depends on the scholarship as stated by the donor. Students who do not have Bachelor’s degree may qualify.

Academic Merit

Freshman students who are Utah residents and who come to UVU as senior from a high school may qualify for this scholarship. Students may be eligible for a maximum of 8 semesters in one of four categories of: Presidential, Exemplary, Outstanding, and Distinguished. Scholarship depends on SAT/ACT scores and high school GPA.

SLCC & SNOW Transfer Students

Students who have completed one of four Engineering programs at a Community College at the Associate Degree level may qualify for a full tuition scholarship. Student must be continuing as a full-time student in one of the four UVU Engineering programs; Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Computer Engineering. This is a student research scholarship.

Transfer Students

A student who has completed at least 12 credits at another institution after high school and is new to UVU may qualify for this scholarship. There are several categories of this scholarship which may apply.

Foreign Exchange/Study Abroad

A number of scholarships are available from The Office of Global Engagement which can be used for the purpose of study aboard and foreign exchange cases. Students should contact The Office of Global Engagement for the process.

International Students

Full-time International students on F-1 visas at UVU may qualify for a scholarship if certain criteria are met. Among them: GPA of 3.5 or higher, maintaining full-time status (minimum of 12 credits per semester), active involvement as a volunteer with a club, or other campus engagement initiatives are among them.

Professional Organizations

Most professional organizations provide scholarships and opportunities for students in technology and engineering to excel in their academic endeavor and embark on successful careers. Each department in the CET may be affiliated with one or multiple professional organizations. Check the list in your department following the link below.
